Is it possible to process currants with iron sulphate?

- Prepare a working solution in a container of glass or plastic.
- The skin of the hands and face, eyes should be protected (clothing, respirator, goggles).
- Processing is carried out in calm weather, so as not to spray on neighboring plants.
You need to store the drug in a dry place, then its duration is unlimited. If hygroscopic powder absorbs moisture, it becomes useless.

Important! In bacterial diseases, iron sulfate is not effective. Need to use other drugs.
Vitriol is effective against such plant diseases:

- powdery mildew.
Application as fertilizer
Iron is an important trace element in the development of fruit plants. The substance takes part in the processes of cellular respiration, enzymatic and oxidative, in the formation of chlorophyll. With an element deficiency in currants, biochemical processes are disturbed, photosynthesis is weakened. Shrub gets sick with chlorosis (yellow leaves), forms small flowers and fruits.

- An iron chelate is prepared. 8 g of vitriol is dissolved in 2 liters of water, 5 g of citric acid is dissolved in the same volume of water. Then both solutions are combined; stirring, add another 1 liter of water. Water is used at room temperature. The solution is sprayed with currant bushes in calm dry weather.
So, iron sulfate is not only possible, but also necessary to use in the garden. This tool is inexpensive and at the same time effective, and in addition it can serve as fertilizer for planting currants.
